LiDAR data and its derivatives assist in real-world uses around the state of Illinois such as; highway engineering, flood prediction, agricultural land management, mining subsidence, monitoring archaeological features, locating sinkholes and applied geologic science. The data do not replace the need for detailed site-specific studies. The information is not appropriate for, and is not to be used as, a geodetic, legal, or engineering base. The information has no legal basis in the definition of boundaries or property lines and is not intended as a substitute for surveyed locations such as can be determined by a registered Public Land Surveyor. This acquisition and processing of LiDAR data for Winnebago County commencing in the Spring of 2018. Winnebago County is approximately 554.5 square miles. Services include LiDAR acquisition; ground control survey; LiDAR post-processing; LiDAR classification; hydro-flattening; QA/QC, and; development of derivative deliverable products (including metadata and reporting). |

The LiDAR derived DTM covers Winnebago County, Illinois and include inland streams, rivers, lakes ponds and tidal features. These data are appropriate for use in local and regional analysis. The project area is approximately 554.5 square miles. Unless otherwise stated, the lidar mapping requirements and deliverables will meet the Quality Level Two (QL2) standards as outlined in the USGS-NGP Lidar Base Specifications, Techniques and Methods 11-B4, Version 1.2, November 2014 (TM11-B4). This data set has a vertical accuracy of 2.43 centimeters RMSEz and point spacing of 0.42 meters. Digital Elevation Models (including terrain and surface models) are raster data sets created from whole LiDAR point cloud data sets (LAS files). Deliverables for this entire project includes, and are available thru the Illinois Geospatial Data Clearinghouse, Raw Swath lidar ASPRS ver 1.4 files, Classified lidar ASPRS ver 1.4 files (tile delivery 2000x2000ft). We have 11 classifications Unclassified, Ground, Low Veg, Medium Veg, High Veg, Buildings, Low Noise, Water, Ignore Ground, Bridge Decks and High Noise. Model key points are bit-flagged and created from ground (class = 2) points using a two foot horizontal and a 0.2 foot vertical variance. Two-foot DEM (32-bit) Erdas Imagine .img files (tile delivery 2000x2000ft) Intensity (8-bit unsigned) .img files (tile delivery 2000x2000ft). Hydro-flattened and under bridge breaklines in ESRI geodatabase 3d polyline feature class format. Calibration control points (18 total), NVA (35 total) and VVA (25 total) lidar check points in ESRI shapefile format. Threre are a total of 3865 2000by2000ft tiles covering Winnebago county. This project was acquired between April 22, 2018 to April 23, 2018 using the Optech Galaxy lidar sensor. The Projection NAD_1983_2011_StatePlane_Illinois_West_FIPS_1202_Ft_US.</SPAN></P></DIV> |
