Subject: This dataset represents version 2 of the National Wetlands Inventory, which is an update from the original inventory completed c1994. This NWI Version 2 was derived by supplementing single-line stream features not mapped by the NWI with NHD 931v220. The wetlands were digitized using Color Infrared Imagery (CIR) from 1980-1988 at a scale of 1:58,000. This data is symbolized by the Attribute field into 3 color categories (Lake, Perennial, and Riverine) for use by the INHS Wetlands Group on IDOT Wetland Delineation and Mitigation Projects. The data is also symbolized by Wetland Type and labeled with the attribute field.
